About
Loomwork is Vanessa Carmin
A consultancy of one, deliberately — you talk to the person doing the work, from the first conversation to the handover.
Vanessa Carmin
Founder and Principal Consultant
I spent years watching capable teams lose whole days to work that a machine should have been doing — copying the same customer detail between three systems, chasing an approval through a thread, rebuilding a report that already existed somewhere.
The tooling was never the problem. Most businesses already own everything they need; the pieces simply do not talk to each other, so people become the integration layer. Loomwork exists to take that job back off them.
The name
A loom, not a platform
On a loom, separate threads stay separate — they are simply woven so that together they hold.
That is the intent. We do not replace your CRM, your help desk or your operations software, and we do not ask your team to move into somewhere new. We weave what you already run into one operation, and leave each thread able to be replaced on its own.
How we work
Four commitments
- Secure by default, not by review
- Access controls, audit trails and approval gates are built in from the first commit. Retrofitting them means deciding what to break, and that decision always gets postponed.
- No lock-in, including to us
- We build on the systems you already run, and we document for your team rather than for ourselves. If you stop working with us, everything keeps running and someone else can pick it up.
- Measured, or it did not happen
- Every engagement starts by timing and costing the work as it is today. Without that number, "faster" is a feeling and nobody can tell whether the project paid for itself.
- Some work should stay human
- Judgement, exceptions and the conversations that keep a client are not inefficiencies. We will tell you which work to leave alone, and that is usually the most useful part of the audit.

Thirty minutes with the person who would do the work. You leave with a clearer picture whether or not we work together.
